May 3, 2010- Phils down Dogs

Wonderfull night for baseball at Hadlock on this night. Sunshine in the low 70's. Today's matchup the Sea Dogs vs the Reading Phillies. Pitching for the Sea Dogs was right-hander Kyle Weiland. The Portland right hander pitched will for 4 innings, without giving up a run and giving up only one hit.
Phillies starter Yohan Flande pitched well into the 7th inning when he ran into trouble giving up a double to rightfielder Jason Place. Two batters later Nate Spears launched a two run homer on to the US Cellier Pavillian. That made the score Phillies 4 Portland 3. So on to the ninth inning.
Jason Place and Will Vazquez went down in order. Nate Spears with two out reached on with a single. (Tyeing run on first) Thirdbasemn Ray Chang up next hit a ground ball to the second baseman who in a attempt to get the force at second threw the ball into left field. That advenced the tying run to third. That brought up outfielder Ryan Kalish. But it was not ment to be. He ends up grounding to first to end the game. Final score- Phillies 4, Portland 3.
Next up- May 11 vs New Britian???? (possibley)
