Game number 1. April 15 2010

Well it finally arrived. Opening night at Hadlock Field, Portland Sea Dogs vs Trenton Thunder. It was a cold crisp night at the ballpark. (Temps in the upper 30's by the end of the night) But 5,654 watched a pitchers duel between Kyle Weiland of Portland and Jeremy Bleich of Trenton. After 4 innings Trenton had a 2-0 lead. The Portland bats were slow to wake up. Bleich of Trenton took a no hitter into the 5th with 2 outs. Jose Iglesias broke up the no-no with a double off the Maine Monster in left. He scored on a single by Jason Place next up. In the sixth Portland tied the game with a rbi single from Yamaico Navarro that scored Lars Anderson. The game remained tied going into the botton of the 10th with Portland up and the bases loaded. With 2 out cleanup hitter Luis Exposito came up and struck out to end the inning. In the top of the 11th Damon Sublett cracked a 2 run homer to give Trenton a 4-2 lead. Portland went down in order 1-2-3 in the bottom half to end the game. So overall an exiting game despite freezing my go-nads off.
Next up - Wednesday April 21 vs Binghamton
